Due to a series of  life events related to her family members’ health conditions, she decided to change her life course to

pursue medicine after being awarded her tenured professorship. She received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree as well as her Master of Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine degree from Bastyr University. She is a national board certified naturopathic physician and acupuncturist/Chinese herbalist and an active member of National Association of Naturopathic Medicine, Bach Flower International Practitioner Societies,  and Quantum Touch Practitioner Association. She did her advanced studies in Chinese Medicine at Shang Hai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and two major hospitals which integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine and main stream Western Medicine: Yang Min Hospital and Yue Yang Hospital. Dr. Liu-Swartz also completed a master degree of Biblical Studies at Charis Bible College and is a licensed minister.

Dr. Liu-Swartz treats her patients with integrative approaches (mainstream medicine with lab tests, naturopathic modalities, acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine) to  produces therapeutic effects that are not achieved by individual disciplines. She emphasizes prevention as well as the treatments of any condition especially for chronic disease (i.e, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, cancer, etc).  

Using Cranial Sacral Therapy and  Quantum Touch Therapy, Dr. Liu-Swartz effectively treated both emotional and physical ailments including pain and migraines. As a trained Bach Flower Remedies practitioner, Dr. Liu-Swartz successfully helped her patients remove emotional obstacle to healing without the use of psychiatric prescriptions.She also understands the relationship between thoughts and emotions and how to help her patients to develop a new pattern of thinking that can successfully eliminates the accumulative negative emotional impact in their lives.

Dr. Liu-Swartz believes in the healing power that is originated from the power and love of God. She believes that the depth of peace and content in the soul and spirit are the keys to the health of the body and the whole person. True healing encompasses the healing of body, soul, and spirit. She offers Christian counseling as well as general wellness counseling that facilitate the healing of the whole person. She assumes the role of a facilitator, a teacher, and a stewardess. She is dedicated to assist her patients to remove the obstacles to cure and to empower them to charge their lives back to health.
